Social Documentary was born as a result of several brainstorming sessions. It aimed to create a Tangible Desktop Application (TDA) for manipulating and presenting multi-content data. The source of the content came from protests in Gezi Park, Turkey. We selected three scenarios:
• Time-based visualisation of Twitter data of Gezi Park on a 3D architectural model;
• Visualisation of day by day changes on the façade of one specific building, the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM);
• Augmentation of street art around Gezi Park.
We collected Twitter data and determined some possibilities on the analysis of the content. The experiment setup to manipulate the content consists of Kinect to control the environment with physical markers and a projector to project 2D/3D views on top of a table.
